A caregiver’s duties include:
- Helping clients take prescribed medication.
- Assisting clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
- Assisting clients with personal care and hygiene such as feeding and bathing… etc.
- Being a pleasant and supportive companion.
- Reporting any unusual incident and acting quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Another visa that you can apply to work as caregivers without any educational background required if you are now residing in Japan.
All you have to do is to pass:
- Nursing care skills evaluation test
- Japanese language proficiency test (N4 or upper)
- Nursing care Japanese language evaluation test
*International students who have already graduated from a caregiver training facility, those who completed the period of stay (4 years) of EPA candidates and those who completed the technical intern training (ii) of “Care Worker” will be exempt from all of these.
*Those who completed the technical intern training (ii) other than “Care Worker” will be exempt only for Japanese language proficiency test (N4 or higher).
